Our Grand Knight, Kevin Hogan, welcomes you to Knights of Columbus council #14551 website. We are a charitable fraternal outreach ministry of St. Hilary Catholic Church in Fairlawn, Ohio.  Please feel free to contact us with any question regarding the council or the website.

Who Are The Knights of Columbus?

The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic family fraternal service organization with 1.7 million members. It provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, their communities, families and young people.

Thanks to the efforts of Father Michael J. McGivney, assistant pastor of St. Mary’s Church in New Haven and some of his parishioners, the Connecticut state legislature on March 29, 1882, officially chartered the Knights of Columbus as a fraternal benefit society. The Order is still true to its founding principles of charity, unity and fraternity.

St. Hilary Council #14551

St. Hilary Council #14551 began in 2008.  Our purpose and mission is ministering to the parish, parish school, and our community at large. With over 190 members, our council actively serves our local church, youth, family, and members. We also contribute time, talent, and treasure to the Ohio State Council and Supreme Council. We received recognition as the number one council in the State of Ohio in 2009. We pursue excellence in programs that serve Christ through service to our neighbors.  Our Knights have travelled to Appalachia and El Salvador to serve some of the poorest communities in our nation and in our world.  We stand for the right to life for all, born & unborn.  Our influence continues growing stronger through faith, hope, and love.
